Beautifully illustrated miniature almanac for science and erudition, with only one other copy recorded. The work contains a calendar, time-tables, tariff-lists, literary contributions in prose and poetry, all anonymous, and a section on card tricks. In the middle, however, a long, illustrated section on virtues can be found, discussing, among others, freedom, marriage, intelligence, humility, free will, innocence, courage, and inclination. Several of these are depicted with an allegorical plate, which is accompanied by an explanation of both the image and the virtue. The present almanac is part of a series that was only published for three consecutive years, from 1791-1793, with the present volume being the last.
The paper on the spine is torn, with two small losses, the boards are slightly rubbed. The leaves are slightly browned and occasionally foxed, small red stains on pp. 64-65.
