Contemporary box (35 x 52 x 5 cm), covered with a blue flowered print, and with a large lithographed plate showing the SS La Bretagne, launched by the Cie Générale Transatlantique in 1886, leaving port at full steam, US flag on foremast, makers initials C.W.X. on aft mast.
