Two works by Giacomo Filippo Tomasini (1595-1655). The first and main work deals with hospitality and gastronomy in Roman antiquity and the use of coins, "tesserae hospitales", entitling the bearer to hospitality on his travels. The plates show examples of these coins and scenes of eating and drinking. The second work is a biography of Livy, which is bound with the first as usual.
