Third and best edition of an extensive manual on agricultural architecture, with additions in both the text and the plates. The work was written by Johann Michael Voit (1771-1846), royal engineer and building-inspector in Augsburg. The first volume concerns the architecture and furnishing of farms, stables, farm-outhouses etc, as well as the architecture of agricultural industrial buildings like breweries, distilleries, tile-works, brick-yards, etc. The second volume is entirely devoted to building materials and the practical construction of the buildings.
The marbled paper sides are slightly rubbed, lightly foxed throughout. Otherwise in good condition. Cf. Berlin Kat. 2061 f (1st ed. of 1817).
